Walking Sticks
Walking sticks are shorter, and they include a handle. The top of your walking stick’s handle should be right at the break in your wrist, with your arm relaxed by your side while standing for the correct height of a sized walking stick. We don’t call our walking sticks “canes” because they have more class and character!
Hiking Sticks
Hiking sticks should be 6-9 inches above your elbow, with your arm by your side while you are standing. The length is used to reach down a hill and touch the ground to stabilize you on the trail’s uneven terrain. Additional length is unnecessary if all you are going to do is climb upward. Additional length is only needed when going downhill.
Survival Kits
Our survival kits include 25 functional survival items in a genuine air-tight, waterproof, crush-proof sardine can. Go fish with a hook and line, find your way home with a compass, boil water in the can, and use first aid supplies to survive in the wilderness. This kit goes great in a glove box or backpack as it takes up very little space.

Four Decades of Quality Craftsmanship
For over 35 years, we have been hand crafting hiking sticks and walking canes one at a time with expert care. This process lets us select and create a quality hiking stick that will be your loyal companion for years to come. Over the years, we have tried different styles and types of wood and have fine tuned the line to our best performing wood types and styles. We finish our walking and hiking sticks with a coat of lacquer and then tip it with a high quality rubber tip.
To put the final touch onto each stick, we add a quality leather string near the grip area that can function as a wrist strap. On the leather string, we put a descriptive hang tag stating the wood type and model of hiking stick along with a leather Whistle Creek logo.
